Pbrush Art of a Nine Year Old

Before Paint was Paint the nine-year-old me drew a depiction of Simba. Several years later I found it again and updated the colors. Newer finished and forgotten about for eleven years I today saw it (and the re-colored version) in a dusty old folder, tucked away beneath piles of junk somewhere in a corner of the hardware. For being cramped up in a confined space for so long I felt sorry for it and decided to let it and let it stretch its legs here on this blog.

Temporary Creativity Brainsickness

I think this was supposed to become a series of the seven virtues. As far as I remember this was the only photo I ever took however. And I cannot seem to recall which virtue it was supposed to represent (or why I mixed two religions like this, if I wanted to use Buddha in my pictures surely I should have made a series on the noble eightfolded path instead.) Indeed a failed project.

Anwyay.

The photo was taken with a Sony Cyber Shot DSC-P10 camera and the camera’s effect ‘sepia’ was used. The photo was then edited with the help of picnik.

Unchained

I ought to get a scanner. Or be less lazy, perhaps. In any case my photos of my drawings are a sad sight. Once again, rather than take another photo, I used an editing program to cut out everything that should not be in the picture. The actual drawing is 8.27 x 11.67 in (210 x 297 mm). It took more or less 1-2 years to finish, is one year and five months old and it is a depiction of a photograph.

Copycat Strikes

Out of boredom I drew Henry (a The Matches logo from the E. Von Dalh Killed The Locals era). It took me approximately 2 hours and I drew it in Paint. It's no Mona Lisa but I thought it was a decent enough Paint copy. I'm not sure if I'm bending rules here, copyright isn't exactly my area of expertise, but I'm hoping this is allowed. But just to be clear; Henry is not my creation and I hold no copyright to it whatsoever. I just happen to have too much time on my hands and too little to do and thus made a Paint drawing copying the original Henry on free hand. None of it is copy and paste.

Borrowing Without Permission

Though I have a sort of series of photos on this theme this is the only one out of twelve I am sure does not violate any copyright. Thus it’s the only photo in the series that will appear on this blog. (Unless hit by a sudden creativity untainted by laziness and so goes to take my own damn photos to edit.)

Golden Apple

A 11.69 x 15.54 in (297 x 420 mm) still life painting that’s four or so years old. Due to laziness I didn’t take it out of its frame to photograph it. So there are some reflections going on. And I got rid of some by editing the photo and so there’s a bit more to the actual artwork than what’s seen on the photo. But, no worries, you’re not missing out on anything, I can assure you.

Industrial Cat
